I am a ceramic artist based just outside Belfast Northern Ireland. My work reflects my interests and passions in life. I first came into contract with motorcycles whenever my family lived in Victoria Australia in the mid 1970s.My first bike at the age of 7 was a ty80 and my sister had a ATC 70.
The hotrod and kustom kulture bug came to me as a 10 year old Belfast kid on a family holiday in Niagara Falls. I was brought a big box of old hotrod models at a yard sale ,the model A delivery van with the palm tree lagoon mural started my love of hotrods and Kustoms. Fast forward and at last I have my 1950 full kustom Chevy on the road , never give up your dreams!
I started onto my art and ceramic Adventure at the age of 40 , I was forced to give up my career as a car body man and this led me to get back into art . I finished my degree in fine and applied art (ceramics ) in 2012.
my studio is on the site of a old figure 8 stock car track my father ran in the 70s ,so cars and bikes are in my blood and steer my direction within my practice.
I have a wide range of products and commission work which ranges from ceramic helmet sculpture to ceramic bodyied Diddley bows and tiki mugs.
